Class A Uniform

The Class A uniform is the uniform worn to Den meetings, Pack meetings and most public events.  It is the uniform that the boys wear their rank and other patches.  It is important that each Cub Scout have a Class A uniform so they can display their accomplishments and brotherhood with other Cub Scouts.

  • Class A uniforms can be purchased at the Council Scout Shop, any retailer that sells BSA uniforms (including the Pottstown Army Navy Store) or through the national organization.  Boys will need:
    • A blue uniform shirt
    • A blue uniform belt with buckle
    • A neckerchief slide
    • Blue uniform pants are not required but are optional
  • Pack 105 provides the neckerchief in the appropriate color for the Den (Tiger - orange, Wolf - yellow, Bear - blue, Webelos - plaid).  A neckerchief is presented to the Scout upon joining the pack.  The boys change neckerchief at a ceremony during the Pack Picnic in June, when they move to their next Den.
  • Pack 105 has custom hats for the scouts.  This hat will be good for all of their cub scouting years.  The cost is $15.
  • Patches:
    • Uniform shirts should come with the American flag patch and the Boy Scouts of America embroidered above the pocket.
    • Cradle of Liberty Council Patch on left sleeve.
    • You will need to purchase the following:
      • A "105" unit patch or patches (all in one patch or three separate numbers).
      • A patch with "Den #" designating your Den.
      • A purple World Crest patch.  (Note: Remove the white backing prior to using Badge Magic to adhere it to the uniform.)
      • Leader uniforms will need Blue shoulder epaulets.
  • Rank and other Earned Patches:
    • The Pack purchases all earned patches and other awards. These are presented to the boys during Pack meetings.  Rank patches are typically awarded during the Blue & Gold banquet in February. (Except for the Bobcat rank, which is earned shortly after joining the Pack.)
    • The Cub Scout website has guides to show you where to place rank and other earned patches

Class B Uniform

Class B T-shirts are the uniform worn during events where Class A uniforms are not appropriate or could be damaged.  (Hiking, sportingevents, etc.)  All Cub Scouts and Leaders should have a Class B T-shirt.  Sweatshirts with the Pack logo are a great place to sew the extra patches that cannot fit or are not appropriate for the Class Auniform (temporary patches from events, sport/academic pins, etc.).  To purchase a Class B T-shirt or other Pack swag, please email Tim Keyser.

Don't like to sew?

If you are tired of sewing patches onto uniforms, there is another way.  Badge Magiccan be used to "glue" them on.  Just cut out a piece the size of thepatch, stick it on the back of the patch and stick the patch on theuniform.  Then place the uniform in the dryer.  It isn't as permanent assewing but it is much faster and easier.  You can get Badge Magic atthe Scout Shop or through their website.  (This is not meant to be an endorsement, just to let you know the options.)
